'Sup?
Yeah, been a while, huh?
Yup. Been meaning to come back here a while back but apparently I had the flu and stuff (midway through August I had another flu).
And recently my homework's basically been all stacked up due to my absences. Oh yeah, and tests have been thrown here and there.
So pretty much. Been busy for a while now.
Ya'll ought to read some stuff I post on my journal over at dA, though. One of them talks about how CAL is so far (which, in truth, has been super awesome).
But anyway, it's been kind of weird for the past month. Like, in all honesty the only manga I've been into into has been Naki Shoujo no Tame no Pavane (the rest of my time has been devoted to House, Lie to Me, the Hills, and the City). And that's only because I've been finding out a ton of stuff about it. You see, while I am an extremely patient person when it comes to waiting on manga releases and whatnot, I usually lose interest pretty quickly when it came to Koge Donbo*'s work. In other words, Syuura scans take a while to release stuff from her manga, so I just kind of back off of that fandom and move to other manga I'm into like FMA and Soul Eater. But since my mad internet-searching skills have more or less improved I've been able to find info *cough*morelikespoilers*cough* about Pavane. And plus, I'm a frequent visitor on Koge-sensei's blog. xD
What sucks when I'm all engrossed in a single fandom I miss out on what's been happening on other fandoms. For instance, the Soul Eeater dub clip everyone's been pretty hyped about. Watched it a while ago, and IT'S AMAZING. Seriously. It's probably because I'm not too picky when it comes to audio in anime, but I think Soul's, Maka's, and Spirit's voices match well with the characters. So no complaints from me. :]
Oh yeah, and I think Kilik bumped Soul into 2nd place on my awesome awesome dudes list. Chapter 66, I love you. <3
And now onto FMA: HOLY. JEEBUS. I-I don't know what to say on this one. I mean, Riza, man. That's all I have to say.
Overall: Koge-Donbo* challenges herself VERY well when it comes to manga ideas and drawing naked peo--
She just draws well and has improved on her plot development skills is all.
Hiromu Arakawa may be a potential evil dairy cow.
Ohkubo is just freaking awesome.
The End.

Before I get to teh shoppeh, I want to comment as to how I'm surprised that G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra got pretty crappy reviews... I mean, I thought that at least it would receive similar ones compared to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. But this was worse! Ah, what the hell. I'm still going to watch the two when it comes out in Mt. Hood Theatre (it's a theatre that shows movies just a couple of weeks before it comes out on DVD).
Also, I'm also surprised that one of the many Downtown Portland movie theaters is showing Neon Genesis 1.0: You are (Not) Alone! I kind of want to go see it, but I don't know if we can, seeing as the remaining money my mom has is for my brother's and mine clothes for school and school supplies. But we'll see.
Oh yeah, I want to go see Ponyo reeeeeeeaaaal bad. >.<
So yeah. Yesterday my mom and I went to a Flea Market close to where I live to look around (and see the awesome purses that costs half of their real expensive price!). My mom says that being in there reminded her of Mexico City (I want to go real bad one of these days). And so I got some accessories that I thought looked cool and adorable. On our way out we got fruit cups with some of that hot sauce and lemon and salt.
Later we went to Target to do some clothes shopping. :P
I can say with the clothes I got so far is an improvement to how I used to wear for the last couple of years. I mean, I unintentionally dress tomboyish, but only because I have... Issues with how I look and how my body stands out (I'm working on it, though). But this year, I'm going to change.
So yeah for those who are still in school... Enjoy the last days of summer while you can~! D';

I decided earlier this morning that I was going to get myself a Pixiv account.
Basically, I discovered a long while back that Koge Donbo* had one. At first I was like, "Okay isn't it like a dA or perhaps like Photobucket for artists?" I just knew I didn't want to get one, just because.
But then after finding out that a certain doujinshi-ka had one as well, I was all like, "Well, okay. Maybe I should get one, then." But then I heard that you had to put a mailing address for your account.
However, once I signed up for it, it only required what prefecture are you from. And once I scrolled down to the waaaaaaay bottom, one selection said "overseas".
So I was all like, "Fudge cake brownies, yeah~!"
And there you have it. Pixiv account of mine born.
Heck, I even put a pic of mine as my icon.

Since I haven't been around the FMA fandom for YEARS (okay okay... Maybe the whole summer, though), I decided to see what was up and around them parts.
Oh yeah, read chapter 98. HO SHIT; getting anxious! Hope Greeling survives the battle (and defeats Wrath for good).
Anyway, back to fandom: so I was reading them kinks and all (WAT. Twas just a peek), and suddenly when reading quite a few LingEd ones... This "thing" popped up in my head and thus fear came in.
Now don't get me wrong; I don't hate yaoi/slash/etc., but I'm not too big on it either. And I'm also saying this because basically most (if not all) of the friends I used to hang out with are yaoi fangirls. So I just kind of lived with it, and I can say it kind of grew on me. Like, one time I decided to get into RoyEd, just to see what people liked about the pairing. Nope, after, like, a day of attempting to read fanfics and doujinshi, I just gave up on it and resumed to my former OTP, EdWin. Now I'm not sure why I just couldn't get into it; the doujins were nice, I admit that. But I guess I went for the wrong fanfiction, or everytime I tried seeing Roy and Ed romantically involved, Winry and Riza got in the way. So yeah, sorry RoyEd fangirls.
So with LingEd... I dunno. Maybe this time whomever wrote those, did an awesome job. Because now I do have this... fascination (I guess) with that pairing. But just that (and RoyHavoc).
Now onto SasuSaku.
But before that, I must point out that I truly do prefer NaruSaku over that pairing (even SasuNaru). And that Naruto is a great series... Just not as great as FMA and SE.
Okay, so I don't know what happened there, either. It just so happened that one day I was, like, bored and shit and decided to read doujins on YouTube (no but really, WTF YouTube? That's why you and television exist; to keep kids from reading *bitchslaps the screen*), since I was too lazy to hunt some down through Google (I don't care what Gakupoid and Luka say, Google's difficult to work with). And there was SasuSaku.
Now, when I tried getting into Naruto (first of many many times), I liked the idea of Sasuke and Sakura being together, along with Naruto and Hinata. But I guess seeing the chemistry between the two in Shipudden made me want to support thecanon pairing.
But seeing as reading them doujins, that interest suddenly popped up again (and so throughout Thursday and yesterday I was up until 1 in the morning reading fanfics).
Still, it kind of faded away now that I was considering KakaSaku through one of the fanfics that I read...
So yeah. I guess I like LingEd (still love EdWin) and SasuSaku/KakaSaku now.
...*goes off to find SoulMakaBlackā
Star fanart*
Note: I'm half-kidding on the last part. SoulMaka is my OTP. Period. But after going through a certain someone's site (damn him/her and the SE Search site), I might just have to create a whole new fandom (seeing how nobody has written any fanfics/drawn any fanart... Not even for BS x Maka for that matter!).

So I was at the mall a couple of days ago and I have to admit, I was feeling a little down. Basically I'm into fashion (Juicy Couture FTW). But looking at those awesome awesome stores with wonderful colors in wardrobe made me feel bad.
...So I'm a bit on the plus-size level. And my mom's not too big on Torrid (I feel as if it's the Hot Topic of plus-sizes). But! Once the mall was closing we were on our way to the parking lot but then...
We found it.
"Not Skinny" is what the store's called. The colors on the clothes are amazing. I still haven't the chance to see what it's like in there, but I have high hopes now.
Thank you, God~<3

Yeah. It's, like, August now. And while I am excited to go to CAL and all, I really thought the summer went by way too fast.
And I still need to get a tan...
But hey, at a mall there's this sale going on at Sanrio. Now, there's two things you need to know about me. 1) I'm an office freak; my mom and I have these obsessions with pens and stationary and whatnot. 2) I'm also a Sanrio freak; anything that's like "supah kawaii desu ne~" works for me.
And. I like the color pink. I am so going there next week. School supply shopping here I come!
And so here's the thing with Vocaloid. I never really thought I would get into it, or the music for that matter.
For one thing, I'm not too into JPop/Rock. While I do like techno and Western bands and artists like Shiny Toy Guns and Britney Spears, the music for JPop is way too too "bubblegum pop-ish". It's like a hit and miss for me. Same goes with JRock, only it's just kind of awkward for me at times. But I can say my favorites are Larc~En~Ciel, Asian Kung Fu Generation, Pillows, Gackt, Masami Okui, and Aya Hirano. But seriously. That's pretty much about it, not including some anime soundtracks such as the ones for Satoshi Kon's movies.
So anyway, back to Vocaloid. It just feels that through this whole entire summer I've had this sort of fascination towards the Vocaloid "characters" and their music. And I can say that up to now Kagamine Len and Rin are my favorites. I also like the idea of them being together (newsflash: they're mirrors, not twins). I guess from listening to Kokoro Kiseki, Daughter of Evil/Servant of Evil, and others made me want to support the pairing. Of course, that's fandom, and totally fanon (like all the other pairings).
I feel kind of bad now that I'm kind of far behind of FMA Brotherhood. But that's only because both my Vocaloid and Soul Eater obsessions are keeping me from FMA. Nevertheless, I still read the monthly FMA chapter first. ;'D
Still, I really don't feel like this summer was like any other summer. Yes I enjoyed it very much, and I am satisfied with the results of the summer, but perhaps I can admit I don't feel like it was long enough. Sigh. Ah well. It was a fun ride while it lasted.

1) What part of Texas are you from? (Do you have the accent?)
I was born near Houston, called Richmond. I was raised in Rosenberg (it's like right next to Richmond) until I was 4 where my family and I moved to Oregon. I used to have a Tejano accent when speaking Spanish. It's gone now, though.
2) What are some of your earliest memories?
Well, I remembered I feel down the toilet when I was two... And then I was beaten up by a gang of chickens at my aunt's house a year later... Annnd then I remembered I used to write on the walls a lot. Nothin' but circles for some odd reason. (Yeah, these just happened to pop in my head first :p )
3) Name something you have in common with a Soul Eater character.
I can be random at times, like Patty. But perhaps I also like things symmetrical... Maybe not obsessed with it like Kidd would be, but maybe not in a carefree way, either.
4) Do you play any instruments? If not, which ones would you like to and why?
I don't play any instruments (my brother's the expert there), but if I could I would like to play an instrument with strings (preferably the violin) or the piano. For some reason strings are fascinating, and the way they sound can range from light and nice to strong and deep. The piano has this similar sense except when played in a dark tone it has this really beautiful sound to it.
5) What are your favorite foods?
Well let's see here... I love Mexican food to the death, and carne asada is my favorite meat dish, along with flour tortillas. Chinese food is good too; kung pao chicken is the way to go.
So yeah. Just comment and I'll think of some damn good questions for ya. ;'D

Wow. I still need to finish updating stuff from other sites (Myspace) and crap. But somehow I just reeeeeaally don't feel up to it.
But yeah. Where I live (OR), it's freaking hot out here. Like, unusually hot... For a state like Oregon. And after watching the Knowing 2 days ago... I can't help but feel kind of paranoid.
I had to turn in Little Big Planet those 2 days ago as well (which explains why I've been off the internet). Man I really did love that game...
I still want my DS, though.
But that's why I'm doing can/bottle recycling and getting payed for it! Yep, 5¢ per bottle/can. Got a good start, too ($33.50).
Man, after seeing a bunch of school commercials I'm kind of getting uneasy. I haven't even gotten a packet from the charter school I'm going to yet.
"Don't let summer be over too soon, yet!!" I yell. -Sigh- Guess it was a fun ride while it lasted.
I've also been into trip-hop lately (thanks to my brother Dan). Check out "Building Steam with a Grain of Salt" by DJ Shadow on iTunes or something. I tell you, the track is AMAZING.
Well, enough rambling for today. Have a nice day (and try not to be too sour just because of the unbearable hot weather *looks over at Fred Meyers* ).

Yep. I have finally got myself an lj. Actually, I knew about this place since, what, 7-8th grade (I'm soon to be a junior.)? I would merely lurk around communities such as the FMA manga, Ed x Winry, Soul Eater (various), and Soul x Maka communities here.
Now, it's been a tad difficult to find friends who share the same interests as mine. Or rather... Finding friends that do not "bite".
I mean, I don't find myself around GaiaOnline these days because when you're trying to be friendly and, you know, converse with people, you find yourself in high school. And it's kind of hard to find people who like Koge Donbo* and her works.
And then there's DeviantART. Honestly if I don't have something to post onto my gallery (and the majority of my art needs work), then I just kind of not want to hang out there (and it's not like I do that for a long time or anything). I am really trying hard to improve my artwork, though.
I have a Twitter account, but it's just to briefly ramble about Soul Eater and how if another live-action anime fails yet again I'm never going to hear the end out of them anime fans (which is a lot who don't favor live-action anime movies).
Myspace... I have to admit: it's close to being inactive. Honestly I find there's nothing to do on that site. But it's good to keep in touch with distant relatives, I guess.
Now here's what I do:
I like to draw... I lot. In fact, I would compulsively draw during every class I've had during middle school and, hell, even until today. Now I was never too big of a fan of fanart, but I always find myself doodling people like Edward Elric, Soul Eater, Maka, and even my OTP: SoulxMaka. Now I like it, but don't want to exactly follow the art (copy/trace). I plan on making a doujin and creating a doujin circle, but I can't seem to find people of my certain interests. But usually, I just draw original work of mine. In fact, I have 3 stories that I'm working on. And with writing, I attempted to write several fanfics of Fullmetal Alchemist with my former OCs, but that didn't work out too well. Now unlike with fanart, I like fanfics (well, I like to read them the most). Yeah, I've come across bad ones before, but then I think, "Well, at least it's not canon/bad fanart." I took a Creative Writing class last year, and I know have a look on what and how to write short stories and poems (I have more appreciation towards poetry after taking that class).
I'm wanting to go to an art school once I graduate. And I do try to update often on the interwebz, but once school starts I kind of do need to bust my chops off because since it's junior year I need everything to go well (I'm a perfectionist; sue me).
As for my fandom; I usually support canon pairings (hell, I go for canon over fanon). But hey, on a rare occasion my mind will probably miss a screw and I'll go: "DUDE! Hoho x Ranfan (FMA) are totally my OTP!!!one1"
But still. Canon all the way...
BTW, I don't hate slash, yaoi, or yuri. But I don't love it. It's just... Kind of there. I mean, the anime (female) friends I've had are all yaoi fangirls. So I don't mind.
(I'm Catholic, but that doesn't mean I'll shove my religious beliefs down your throat, or use it against mine or anyone's hobbies for that matter).
I suppose that is all. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

I suppose that is all. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
